A New House and New Pups

When my husband and I bought our first house a couple of months ago, one of the first things we did was get a dog. After living in tiny apartments for over 7 years, we both knew that our home would not be complete without a dog. Both of us had grown up in the country, so we knew that we didn’t want a tiny, frou frou pup. Whatever dog we chose would be a big one.

My husband wanted a Bernese Mountain Dog, but I was worried that while I wanted a big dog, this particular mountain dog would be too much for me to handle. Of course, once we went to see the puppies, I fell in love with their big eyes and lovable personalities. My husband choose a beautiful little girl and she came home with us.

A couple of weeks later we were all settled into the new house and so was Lola. We were so happy with her, in fact, that when I heard of an Australian Shepherd pup that was looking for a home, I didn’t hesitate in my decision to adopt him.

Both Lola and Max love our huge back yard and I’m having a blast training them.

I'm a big fan of Bernese Mountain Dogs. They're big, but they're not scary. Bernese Mountain Dogs are just big, lovable goofballs.

Has anyone ever noticed that Bernese Mountain Dogs are a lot like Rottweilers? Rotties don't have the long coat or the white coloring, but they're the same size as a Bernese, and the personalities are very similar.

If you want to get a big dog, you couldn't make a better choice than a Bernese Mountain Dog. Unlike some big dogs, they're not vicious. In fact, their personalities are friendly and lovable. They're a good choice for families with kids.

Anybody who can resist getting a puppy when you meet a litter of those Bernese Mountain Dogs has got to have a pretty hard heart. Those puppies are adorable!

The Australian Shepherd is a great breed, but you have to be active to be a good owner. These dogs need to run and play a lot in order to be happy and stay healthy.

This is one of the best of all the big dog breeds. Their combination of large size, strength, even temper and intelligence make them an unbeatable animal companion.
