People Should be More Open-Minded About Medical Practices
No one likes being sick and no one likes medical treatments. Nonetheless, at some point, we all have issued that need to be addressed and for me, it was wrist pain. I started to really suffer from carpal tunnel treatment because to me, the treatments were worthless, so it was "suffering" to me. Then someone told me about magnetic therapy products but I'm not one for all of that voodoo nonsense, "natural pain relief",so I just blew it off. I was telling my mom about it later and she basically informed me that I was an idiot. Why? Because she has been using magnetic therapy for year for her back pain and it works. She said I should be more open minded about medical practices and at least give it a shot. OK fine, so I let her order it online for me and give it a shot. Well, let me tell you, I AM an idiot because here was something that helped with my wrist pain. At last! So, now I stand a reformed person: be more open minded about alternative medicince because it worked for me!

Stealing Metals: The Latest Craze
It has been all over the news lately, but I didn’t really think it would affect me. You see where thieves are stealing just about anything made from metal, and then selling it to scrap yards. Often times it is the copper piping like in air conditioners or plumbing, but I have even heard of some bold thieves stealing manhole covers. Boy that would be a shock if you hit an open manhole while on a motorcycle!
It all kind of hit home a few nights ago though. I own an exterminating company and have two work trucks that I park in a fenced area behind our shop. Just basic work pickups with truck tool boxes and ladder racks. They don’t have any fancy pickup truck accessories, so I don’t worry about them too much. I guess I should have been worried about the aluminum ladders though! Apparently aluminum is one of the metals which are high on the list for these metal thieves. They completely cleaned me out of the aluminum ladders which had been locked to the truck racks, and didn’t touch anything else. Do you know how much a new ladder costs? Let me tell you about it: they must think these things are made of gold, because it was a small fortune to replace my ladders.

Wedding Invitation Wording
When I was getting married, I struggled with the wording for the wedding announcements. My future husband had some severe family issues that made the traditional wording out of the question. We finally decided to just include our names and the information on the wedding day so no ones feeling would get hurt. Happy that hurdle was over, I didn’t realize I was going to have the same issues with the wedding invitations until the time came to order them. We had picked out gorgeous white rose wedding invitations, but we were very limited in the wording we could choose from, which turned out to be a huge problem. I really loved those invitations but my fiancĂ© was more important to me, so we continued looking.
When we found DIY wedding invitations, we realized that they were perfect for our situation. The do it yourself aspect meant that we could pick out our own wording, avoiding any awkwardness or ill will. And we were fortunate enough to find ones that had a white rose on them so I was able to have my white rose invitations. They turned out gorgeous and exactly how we wanted them. I was happy that we were able to resolve the issue of the wording so easily and were able to move on and continue planning our big day.

Wrongly Accused? What to Do
Were you arrested and charged with a crime you didn't commit? Do you believe you were wrongly accused? There are things you can do to try to remedy the situation. Here's what to do.
1. Don't say anything that could be used against you. You were probably read your Miranda rights by the arresting officer, but it's worth repeating. Don't say anything that could be used against you. They'll try to get you to talk, of course, but don't. Wait until you get an attorney and let him (or her) advise you on what to say and what not to say.
2. Post bail. Posting bail means you give the courts an amount they ask for, in return for your freedom until your court date. They hold the money until you are done in court, and if you don't show up they keep it.
However, bail is usually set somewhat high, to discourage people from running off and not showing up. If you can't afford to pay it you'll need to get a third party to post a bail bond for you. This person is known as a bondsman. Of course, they're not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, so you'll need to sign something over to them as collateral — for instance, your car or your house.
Bondsmen's offices are usually located close to the jail. So if you are looking for West Coast bail bonds, San Francisco offers plenty of choices within a few blocks radius of the jail. Same goes for bail bonds Los Angeles.
3. Get a good lawyer and start building your case. Once you are out on bond, you can move freely about town and get things done. Visit several lawyers and choose the one you think will do the best job of arguing your case — shopping around is best, because the first lawyer you visit is not always the best one. Also, start writing down everything you can think of that might help your case — when you get a lawyer, this will be a good place for him or her to start.
Being wrongly accused and charged with a crime you didn't commit is infinitely upsetting, but it's not the end of the world. If you keep your head and take it step by step, you and your lawyer can build a convincing case to convince the judge of your innocence.

What to do with Wedding Ring after Divorce
Going through a divorce is one of the most emotionally challenging experiences most people will ever go through. Part of the healing process is figuring out what to do with the old wedding ring. This is the symbol of a failed marriage. So, what can be done with a wedding ring after a divorce.
Here are a few tips for things you can do with an old wedding ring.
· One unique thing I saw was called a wedding ring coffin. Yes, it’s what it sounds like. It’s a mini coffin for you to put your wedding ring in. It’s designed to help you put your old relationship to bed. This is an important part of the grieving process. It helps you to move on to a better, happier life.
· You can also donate your old wedding rings. The value of gold is high, and it can really make a difference in someone’s life. Find an organization that’s behind a cause you really care about, and ask them if they would accept the ring as a donation. It would also be a tax write off that could come in handy.
· Another thing you can do is sell gold for cash. By getting cash for gold jewelry, you’ll have a nice chunk of money to treat yourself to something nice. Take care of yourself during this trying time.

Antioxidants and Your Suntan Lotion A Match Made in Heaven!
As anyone who has spent any time out in the sun knows, it can dry out your skin big time. And who wants to spend the time getting an amazing tan if your skin looks and feels like crocodile leather? That’s why when you choose from the huge variety of tanning lotions that are available you want to make sure that it does more than simply help you get a tan.
The best tanning lotion to use is one that has a combination of ingredients to help you achieve a beautiful tan while protecting your skin. You want to make sure that it has antioxidants such as vitamins A and E to help maintain your healthy glow and the moisture levels in your skin. You also want to make sure that there is some form of moisturizer in it, usually a light oil and aloe combination so you get the benefits without the heavy greasiness.
Also look for a tanning lotion that is water resistant or repellant. No sense slathering on the lotion only to sweat it off or to hop in the water and then have to reapply it. Water resistant will also help lock in the moisture to help against drying out your skin.
Another thing that people don’t realize is that the best suntan lotions are the ones that allows you to wear an SPF sunscreen under it while still allowing you to tan. This helps to protect your skin from harmful and cancer causing UV rays. And there is no reason to possibly harm yourself to get a great tan.

Keeping information safe
I’m dedicating myself to beefing up my Information Technology Security Training this year. A friend of mine recently completed Ethical Hacker training and also took the CISSP exam to get certified as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and he’s told me all about the knowledge he’s acquired. I’m pretty jealous and want to know all the things he’s learned too.
I didn’t know too much about the CISSP exam, so he filled me in on what it is all about and the different things that it covers. He said there are ten different domains of information that are covered and each is very important to the security of systems information. It is knowledge that is important for any informational technology user whether they are a consumer or business person, and through the preparation you acquire a base of skills in all these areas that are always useful and in demand from employers.
The ten domains include: Access Control; Applications and Systems Development; Business Continuity Planning; Cryptography; Law, Investigation, & Ethics; Operations Security; Physical Security; Security Architecture; Security Management; Telecommunications and Networks Security. That definitely looks like a lot of information to learn and I’m really excited to get started on it and know that I will be keeping my information as secure as possible from now on.

CPAP Machine Maintenance
Sleep apnea is often alleviated by CPAP supplies, including, for example, a sleep apnea machine or a CPAP machine and accompanying mask. Many potential consumers and present CPAP equipment owners may be interested in how to maintain such a device in order to increase the odds of success with a new CPAP routine. In general, the maintenance of CPAP supplies is limited to cleaning the machine and changing the filters. This is done in order to keep the internal pieces of the CPAP machines from collecting dust and hindering the overall performance of the device.
The maintenance of CPAP machines may be broken down into daily maintenance, weekly maintenance and yearly maintenance. Individual machines may have greater or fewer requirements depending on the models, but these are general assessments intended to help with such caretaking. Daily maintenance may be limited to simple cleaning of the hoses and masks with warm, soapy water. Weekly cleaning may involve washing out the filter of the CPAP machine with tap water. Some consumers also consider it a good idea to send their CPAP machines in to their CPAP supply provider to have it inspected for proper functionality on an annual basis. This is a good idea, simply to ensure that the machine is in proper working order.

Ease of Online Shopping
I'm the head of the purchasing department for a growing elementary school. Over the past few years we've been buying more school supplies online. We didn't get into it quickly. School administrations are pretty conservative by nature, after all. They don't get into anything very quickly, and like many consumers, they didn't trust online shopping in the beginning. The biggest concern whether the transactions would be secure. Despite those concerns, I started looking at what was available online, from time to time, and who sold what.
We finally started buying from a discount school supply after one of our local suppliers ran out of some folders which we use regularly. They said it was back ordered, and it would be a couple of weeks before they could get it to us. Our other supplier couldn't come up with the quantity we needed, so I persuaded the principal to authorize a purchase order with this online store. I called their toll-free number and talked to a customer service representative right away. He assured us the transaction would be secure. They had what we wanted, shipped it the next day, so we received the folders within several days.
The principal was impressed, and authorized me to start ordering a few other classroom supplies from the same store. That earned me a few points with him, for sure!

Good News for the Denver Housing Market
The Denver Post reported just a few days ago that there is potential good news for Denver's housing market: The number of home sales has increased, and the number of houses on the market has decreased.
This is a good thing because it means demand is going up and inventory is going down. Inventory that was much higher than the rate of demand is part of what has caused the real estate crisis, caused by the high rate of foreclosures Texas, Denver, and other areas were suffering from.
The Denver real estate market isn't completely healed yet, though — the same article that reported increasing sales and decreasing inventory also reported that prices are still dropping. Although this indicates that the market hasn't recovered, it is also a really good thing for buyers, because it means that now is the time to get a really good deal on a house without the same risk someone might have felt a few years ago.
If you are interested in cashing in on the current low prices before the real estate market recovers, you can look for houses in your price range by doing a quick real estate search. If you can get financing, now is a great time to buy, both because of the low prices and because of the low interest rates. Just don't wait too long, because both may go up at any time!

Getting Ready for Halloween
The kids I babysit for have been getting ready for Halloween for at least a month now.
It was probably about two months ago when one of the boys told me he was going to be a Star Wars clone, or a storm trooper, for Halloween. His mom ordered the costume and it came weeks ago.
The girl is a big fan of Disney Princess stuff, so she of course will be one of the princesses or another Disney character for Halloween. I can't remember which one, but it could be a Tinkerbell costume — she's been really into Tinkerbell since she had a Tinkerbell party for her birthday. At any rate, it's one of the Disney costumes.
I don't think the youngest boy, who is just two and a half, actually got to pick his costume. Every year his mom puts him in one of the stereotypical baby Halloween costumes; one year it was Yoda, and this year he's going to be Nemo. Hopefully this will be his last year dressing like a baby at Halloween, because I really think he's old enough to start choosing his costumes on his own!
Seeing the kids getting reading for Halloween is so much fun — they just get so excited! I can't wait until my husband and I have our own kids, and can participate in this kind of thing with them.
