Marketing Products You Don't Understand

There are a lot of different tricks that you can use in marketing. There are formulas that you can apply to the marketing of almost any product which will allow you to create an effective marketing campaign for the product. However, it is always best to have some firsthand information about the products that you are trying to market because this is the only way that you can say the things that are going to be important to the people using the product.

For example, let's say that you were asked to market echo1 airsoft or kwa airsoft guns. If you have never played the game of airsoft before then you wouldn't really have any idea why these products were better for use in the game than the other products that were out there. You wouldn't even know what people look for in these products (speed, accuracy, realism, etc.) so you wouldn't be able to highlight the value of these qualities for your product.

You don't have to be intimately involved with each product that you market. However, you do need to be able to market the product effectively and you really can't do that if you know nothing at all about the purpose of the product or the way that it works. Make it a rule that you always learn something firsthand about the products that you are trying to sell!
